These computer system labs will serve to reduce gaps in access to devices and the Web by providing public computer gain access to for people with specials needs, Marylanders without permanent residence (i.e. unhoused), veterans, and our incarcerated & returning people. The program supplies grants of approximately $65,000 for as much as 100% for the development, upgrade, and/or retrofit of computer labs/centers throughout Maryland.

The financing source for the program is the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and all federal guidelines needed of the funding use to the program. The Maryland Office of Statewide Broadband is making up to approximately $11.8 million offered through Link Maryland's Network Infrastructure Grant Program Round 2.

Funding will support jobs that improve broadband transportation capability, interconnection, resiliency, redundancy, and long-term network scalability. These projects are meant to strengthen the performance, reliability, and sustainability of broadband networks serving locals, organizations, and public-interest uses throughout Maryland.
